Can someone help me fix this error: svchost.exe?

Can someone help me on how can i fix this error on my computer
svchost.exe - Application error
The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000409) occured in the application at location 0x5b86a3c0. [OK] [Cancel]. I'm not that good at computers so if someone knows how to teach me fix this pls give me instructions that i can understand and thanks for those who will help.

Other people have reported this problem in the past. The solution was either to upgrade all your drives and make sure you have all your operating system updates by going to :

http://www.windowsupdate.com

If that does not work, then use the following guide to disable DEP and see if that fixes the problem:

If you go to http://www.microsoft.com and enter your error code into the search box, you will get a list of pages that may explain what the problem is and if it can be fixed. I can't guarantee that it's easy to understand, but it's usually there.

Be aware though that you usually don't just get one error code (when you get the blue screen for example), but a total of five. You should write down all five because the rest matter as well. The first may indicate the general nature of the error, while the rest gives you the specific place/reason/nature/etc...

Also, if you find the fault, but don't know ho to fix it, look around the website of your computer manufacturer, hardware maker, or software maker for any updates or fixes. I used to have a horrible problem with sound on my computer and was able to fix it with an update from my PC maker.

From where did you find this error text out? From event log?
Did you install any new s/w that installed some windows services?

FYI: svchost.exe is an app hosting process that hosts all the windows services.
Problem is in finding out which svchost.exe instance is hosting which service. If you know which is it you can search for a fix but until you know which service is causing the problem finding a fix is not possible.

svchost.exe is a system process belonging to the Microsoft Windows Operating System which handles processes executed from DLLs. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.

Incase the file is currupt please restore the operating system to an earlier point. Incase you have niot created any restore points reinstall the operating system !!!!
