No, rain cannot give you a cold. What it can do, however, is lower your defenses making your body more vulnerable to infection by the virus which actually causes the cold. This is especially true when the rain is accompanied by lower temperatures and windy conditions.

I've been in the rain dozens of times-i never caught a cold. But yes some people do get colds after being in the rain.
Some of the people who are more susceptible to catching colds after being in the rain than others include sinus patients and people who have weak immune systems, and people who already had the cold but realised it only after being in the rain.

The only way to find out if u r one of those people who catch colds after being in the rain, is by trying it out yourself.
Don't worry if you do catch a cold, I have a great cure for colds-eat a raw onion with your food or drink a cup of yogurt-it really works, it's been proven.

Rain can not give you a cold. You get a cold from catching a type of virus (corona virus) from another person. Your more likely to get a cold on rainy days, because people tend to huddle in the same room for warmth. The close contact to a large group of people increase the odds for catching a cold.

no the rain cannot give you a cold, nither can cold weather,

you can only catch a cold or the flu, if you come in contact with sumone who has the virus or if you touch things i.e doorhandle's things like that, which sumone with the virus has touched and then you pass the virus into your system i.e if you have touched the doorhandle and you put your fingers in your mouth, that is how it gets passed from person to person, to say that cold or rainy weather give's you the cold is a old wife's tale

no.
germs do.
you stay cooped up indoors with lots of other people and share space and touch the same stuff after sneezing, coughing or wiping your nose and don't wash your hands...you're gonna get sick.
Being in the cold and or rain just weakens your body's defense against fighting those germs off.

The rain can make you wet and miserable, but unless it is contaminated rain - no. Your body's lack of resistance is what makes you ill.
