sure bmw are great cars but if you are buying a second hand bmw you shld be careful...i wouldnt advice anyone to buy automatic secondhand cars afterr year 1998, its just too expensive to maintain....and is something get spoiled then we are totally screwed....
BMW 318i is a wonderful car, but a 1995 model is just too long of a model...expensive to maintain...but if still you are interested then go for the manual transmission, the possibility of getting a good piece is high.

Any vehicle it is sixteen years previous could nicely be "reliable" or "undesirable" based on how nicely it become maintained over the years...i'm speaking routinely better than cosmetically. If the present proprietor has maintenance records for the vehicle to coach that each and every of the undemanding maintenance has been achieved over the years (oil differences, scheduled preventative maintenance etc.,), procuring the vehicle at an exceedingly low-priced is a minimum hazard. Seeing a sparkling, nicely saved indoors can often be an indication that the mechanicals have additionally been nicely maintained...or each and every now and then a "too-sparkling" indoors/outdoors could be used by using a shady broking to conceal significant mechanical problems or prevalent ignore to the significant factors under the hood. i could say barring any significant purple flags once you are attempting rigidity it, for the low-priced that is in all hazard nicely well worth the possibility. If it gets to be too high priced to maintain working, you have have been given so little money into it initially which you ought to no longer experience too undesirable doing away with it seems to be a load of crap (which they're many times no longer BTW).

Great car - easy Do-it-yourself repair (get a repair manual & code reader), very strong engine, very torque-ie engine, great suspension (fun to drive), and it's only a 4 cylinder (good gas mileage). I have a 318ti, and a Z3, both 4 cylinder. Both have basically same chassis. I left the 318ti stock (about 150 HP) and have really tricked out the Z3 (about 230 HP) - supercharger, cams, aluminum pistons, suspension, and many other things. I'd sell it just to play with another one.
