No, I don't think that all countries will be united under a government as we might define "government" today.

Historically, the trend has been in the last 300 years, with fits and many reversals, towards more democratic-styled governments. But within that time, in the last 100-150 years, it has been towards a quasi-corporate/government style which democracies seem, unfortunately too vulnerable and too weak to withstand. You should know that the largest corporations are far larger than most countries' Gross National Products (GNP).

If there is some sort of world-wide system, it will be more of an international legal formation in which governments have agreed to, but one in which individual country governments are too prone to be influenced by corporations.

The latest grass-roots uprising of the militant regionalisms and religious fervor which may testify to the contrary (most notably in the Middle Eastern / South-Asian countries) proves that any type of "world government" is highly unlikely - particularly if western capitalist ideology holds the reins of power, and for the most part they do even if China is in an ascendent position relative to the West. Things change...

I say more power to the, those who resist the Corporate Western powers, because the marriage between corporations, government, and the military = FASCISM , my friend.

Ordinary human beings should have nothing to do with Corporatism and their brutal, inhuman, unjust, extortionist, and murderous methods of obtaining, retaining and expanding their illegal and illegitimate powers.

That's what I think and so do billions of other people on this planet.

If you want an excellent but controversial book on the topic which gets into the present situation, read "The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order" by Samuel P. Huntington. I don't always like what he says, but it offers some really interesting ideas and historical perceptions of how to look at the situation nowadays. Excellent read, but do so knowing that the world changes and the author's viewpoint will shift, too, over time.

In case you didn't see the CNN broadcast on 11/15... The Iranian president has determined Babylon to be the capital of the world's government.. Many things going on that the American people were not being made aware of.. now they are!!!

This airing took 3 months of preparation.. and is delivered without pulling any punches.. is about time some of those who continue to wear blinders, become aware of what is really going on in the world today. Plus gain a little understanding of what Bush is having to deal with.

I believe the wrold is now dominated by giant corporations, and they have considerable influence over governments.

The trend points to consolidation of these giant corporations, so that only a few will exist with sweeping powers that will control virtually everything, including governments.

One world government, one world labour force, one world economy. We will all be slaves one day, servicing the requirements of a few elite masters. It`s called globalization. Heed my warning, it`s already been happening for a 100 years.

the idea of having different Govenrments, Milittary power is that People can't change fast and that they dont change unless there is a compulsion.

So, if there is a natural compulsion or the evolution makes people think and understand the science way, probably, one day, we all have one administration.
