Daily. I *always* do. I think we are all like that, humans. It's just some people are stronger then others emotionnally and have the luck to generally feel happier and look into the future more on the bright side, and strongly believe that we should not think about those things. But sadly, we are not all like that. I know exactly what you mean. Again, it happens to me daily. Only way to cure this, if we can even say a cure (works for some, not for others) would be therapies, books, etc. The neverending story we all heard a million times before! Stay strong darling :D

Yes, and a good number of serious thinkers have run up against the idea too. It may not be a right conclusion, but it's hardly unthinkable.
"You may look upon life as an unprofitable episode, disturbing the blessed calm of non-existence."
Schopenhauer
"Our life is but an empty show;
Naked we come, and naked go.
Both for the humble and the proud
There are no pockets in a shroud."
Austin Dobson

You sound depressed. You might consider seeing your doctor about some prozac or lithium. I'm 70 years old and probably likely to die sooner than you are and I don't waste any of my precious minutes thinking about things I might be wasting my time doing. I prefer to think about how many good things can I get in before my time is up.

When I was a teenager, I basiclly asked that of everything I did. I had and sitill have problems socializing so it was hard for me to connect to many people. Being lonely is very hard.

No, because everything we do will help us to learn and become wiser. If we always refrain ourselves and make no (zero) mistakes, then there will never be any progress, be it physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually.
