Yep,,,,and it wasn't "why" or "I don't want to",,,,,it was because OUR parents told us to. I believe in the "old school rules",I raise my daughters this way,they are 16 and 13. But they listen to me more than their dad,because I'm the more strict parent. I tell them it's not because WE say so,"it's more because of respect". AND I also believe there is a difference in beating a child than just spanking a child,and grown ups should never let it get to where it becomes a beating.Parents have to start at a young age though,they can't wait till a child gets 16 then say why do they do all these wild things.

I remember the times when dads used belts and teachers used rulers. That was scary to kids. It was also very cruel when you think about it.

the first and last time my dad did that to me was back when i was grade 6... my sister throwed all her clothes in my bed and messed everything i had cleaned(i just finished folding my own clothes) so when i saw what she did i throwed the electricfan to her while she's sleeping..my parents didnt saw it though...but my sister was again mad at me and yelling...my mom always favors her bcoz she's her first born ...my dad was having a bad time so he spank me with the buckle of his belt ol over my body...i was crying and when i woke up in the morning i got fever , a lot of wounds and bruises...my dad apologized and he was the one who took care of me..and when i told him what really happened...he regret about spanking me...

yes i remember my Dad most time when he say you go get punish than you got Way he say but i love him very must and still miss him he pass away 9 years a go

yeah! my dad still does it. i am 14 and a girl. it hurts a lot but inside i am not mad at him. only when he does it i am mad but then i cool down.
