1000 % Real-Story:

Born as white as an American or Russian citizen , in India (Where most people have dark skin).Colour thing didn't even enter my mind as a child.I never considered myself to be different from anyone,i.e. words like 'white' , 'race' were out of my mind. However from the day I entered pre-school (age 4)everyone simply hated me.They mentioned my colour to me hundreds of times. Most of them were (then) physically stronger than me.They tortured me (in horrible ways) and beat me up (till I became strong enough to fight back {till age of 14}).And the people who did this to me weren't the same either (I changed school twice) but the hatred continued. Also,it wasn't as if their families had to endure any racial torture in the past (It didn't occur in India) and in any case, which kid knows history at the age of 4 ? So I realised just one thing,It's not the colour that makes people racist,It's their power. So if dark skinned people were in power, they would've tortured the whites.

what you say is true, its power that drives us all into doing a whole lot of things in our lives. you are feeling the way you do because you didn't have enough power when you were small to stop the torture for a long time.

but you turning into a racist is not going to help improve the situation. are you telling me that you feel extremely proud of your self after yelling a racist comment or something like that. does doing such a thing help to forget your past? i don't think so.

hate only cultivates more hate. i think its time to stop. even though the memories are painful, i think you can be a better person than those kids back in India.

Do your History every country has experianced some sort of extreme hatred due to rascism. For instance India experianced racism from the English when they invaded. I feel for your experiance, but I don't believe that should make you racist toward other people. On the contrare it should make stronger, wiser, and compassionate towards hummanity because of what you endured. Stop the hate, and let me ask you a question is it worth giving those people the satisfaction in knowing they made you just like them, or is it better to claim your own worth and be your own individual?

You are right. Any person who has power can either choose to use or abuse it and humans tend to invariably abuse it despite their color. I have one thing to tell you - you may or may not believe me. You happened to be with wrong people. I am from North India and I went to South India once and had to face the discrimination and prejudices, despite my black color. Luckily, I was old enough to fend for myself and people knew better than to beat me up. But was it only you? There are many kids who are tortured because they are just 'different'. You happened to be white. My SIL's kid happens to be a 'Bihari' who doesn't know English and another kid who lives near me who just cannot understand music. You see, what I mean? I do not question your beliefs because I know Indians or for that matter all human beings can be very very mean but how to overcome your hatred and try to make it easier for other kids like you in future is important. You can just hope to influence some of the people near you and their families and kids by being a 'Nice angelic friendly' person and change their views. But you may have to change your own views. By the way I do think you must have looked adorable with American Russian features and 'white' color. Can I have your photo as a kid?

No you are not being racist you are being realistic. And yes power is everything. And yes torturing people just because they are somehow different has been going on since the beginning of time. And it may never end.
You are only going by what you have been through, which many other people may not even have the courage to deal with.

Dude. You are exactly right. I'm black and I totally KNOW that is correct. I'm glad you jumped on the bandwagon, and realized the reality. POWER is the REASON for the hatred. Don't hate people, hate the ideas in their minds FORCED upon/in them; it's never their fault directly. Why do I say FORCED so loudly? Because power can only use force. Respect is a branch of love. Power and respect can never share the same bed peacefully. Never. "Respect" with power behind it, is ony a ticking time-bomb. I choose, personally, to live in Love and only pity those who succumb to the POWER whatever/wherever it may be (either in them or in their environment). Join the Love Bandwagon, welcome aboard! Of course, riding this Bandwagon requires the virtues (patience, endurance, etc.). I ask: you up for them?

No one is "forced" into being a racist. You have to realize that the people who tormented you were only a small group of people and that not all of those particular races are like that.

No racism is wrong. However you cant be blamed for hating or disliking the people who did this. Not all blacks are the same and not all white are the same you cant blame them all for what some did.
