Congratulations on your pregnancy, its very common to start getting strong braxton hicks, if you are worried you should always call your doctor to put your mind at ease. the mucus could have been anything as long as it wasn't bloody then you should be right. If concerned about your braxton hicks sit down for 2 hours and relax, count how may you get and the timing also the pain threshold between 1-10, 10 been unbearable. make sure your realistic, if its under 5 which is strong but it is bearable. If your concerned call the doctor and see what they think.

I am 25 weeks and I find the braxton hicks are very tight and sometimes painful as the baby kicks to stop the tightning it can take my breath away but its nothing compared to real contractions, real contractions are like a really heavy period pain with tightnings that feel like its everywhere not just in your stomach, also the baby doesn't move very much during labour so I wouldn't stress to much but maybe to put your mind at ease you should make a dotors appointment to be checked out and put your mind at ease.

I would call your doctor just to be on the safe side.

Braxton Hicks are a common thing during and through out your pregnancy. As well as the discharge they call your mucus plus. It is your bodies way of getting ready for a baby. Most the times your not in true labor until your contractions are 5 minutes apart. Here is some more info about Braxton Hicks and the mucus plug. But please call your doctor 1st, only he/she will be able to tell you what to do for sure.

You are experiencing preterm labor. You need to go to the Emergency room. The mucus plug signified changes in your cervix. And your contractions are real not braxton hicks. Go to the ER, they can give your medication that stops labor and prevents preterm birth. If you wait too long you will lose the baby.

Symptoms of preterm labor include:
An increase in vaginal discharge or a change in the type of discharge, meaning if it becomes watery, mucus-like, or bloody (even if it's pink or just tinged with blood)

• Any vaginal bleeding or spotting

• Abdominal pain, menstrual-like cramping, or more than four contractions in one hour (even if they don't hurt)

• An increase in pressure in the pelvic area (a feeling that your baby is pushing down)

• Low back pain, especially if you didn't previously have back pain

i just had the same thing that happened and i am 33 weeks .I just came out of the hospital from preterm contractions. By the way your contractions are more than likely real not braxton hicks. They will give you iv and put you on medication to slow down your contractions. You need to let your doctor know asap because you can end up losing your baby.

Ring your doctor, it could be your mucus plug and if it is leaving it could lead to infections. If you cannot speak to your doctor go to the hospital for a check up, try not to panic and try and be calm for it maybe nothing and some braxton hicks. If you ever don't feel like something doesn't seem right especially in pregnancy don't leave it go and see your doctor.
Good luck and hope all is well

White or yellow discharges are common in pregnancy. Period like contractions are also common in the first 3 months. But you have to call your doctor he knows better.
