I used to use ecstasy on a regualar basis (Thursday-sunday) every week. I have not takin it for about a month now but i still feel paranoid all the time and find it hard to concentrate. will it ever stop or am i just stuck with it?
I also find it hard to sleep and wake up a lot in the night feeling panicky.
I was using it that often for about 4 months taking about 3-4 each night. I had used it before but only ocasionally and only taking 1-2 pills a time.

I'm not looking for sympathy and theres no need to preach. I no i have brought this on myself but hey im 20 years old young and learning.
Some people dont realise how easy it is to fall into the habit of using drugs. For people who dont know Es give you an amazing feeling of happiness confidence and love it also makes you forget about your problems. When somthing makes you feel that good its hard to see why it can be so wrong. So yeah im learning my lesson now after time they do mess with your head and have bad side affects. I'm trying my best to stay away and im doing ok so far even though i have been tempted.
But all i wanna know is if the paranoia and deppresion will go away. I know i have brought it on myself but every one makes mistakes nobodys perfect.

Dang people are mean. I'm sure all you bashers lead perfect lives and never make a mistake. Don't listen to them Donna. You don't know them anyway.
Paranoia can be paralyzing. This I know. It's a mind game Donna. You have to will yourself out of it. You have to logically see your way out of it. Look, you know in the back your mind these things aren't real. Even while they're happening. They seem real but listen to that voice in the back of your head that's telling you you're just being paranoid. Here's how you can tell it's not real. Nothing ever happens. It's as simple as that. The things you're imagining. The people outside your house. The guy just outside your bedroom door. Whatever it is. Why are they looking at me? When you wake up the next day, nothing happened. It never has and it never will. Just get used to the idea that nothing will happen and ignore the game your mind is playing on you. You have to accept the paranoia but know it's not real. Eventually it will get better. I hope you can pull out of it soon. This can literally last years or a lifetime. But you can also stop it in its tracks now.
Listen up. You may not be having bouts of paranoia. It could be as simple as panic attacks. Many famous people have had those. Donny Osmond for one. Don't think the worst ok? It's ok to seek a doctors help. They are the only ones who can make a correct diagnosis. Maybe you've given yourself a slight chemical imbalance. No big deal. They have really good drugs to help you these days. It's not an embarassment to seek help Donna. Force yourself to ask for it if you need. That's what they're there for. To help us. Good luck you!

Oh God... I can't believe the lame answers you got... Don't listen to any of them Donna... you did the drugs... now you have too fight the demons that came after the abuse ended..... Those demons will always be there... Its up too you to find them. Instead of feeling paranoid take a deep breath.... ask yourself.. "what am I paranoid about" think of how you would handle the situation prior "drug days.." no matter how paranoid you feel do what you use to do... beat the paranoia... no matter how scared you feel... once you beat that... you will find that you had nothing to be afraid of... each time you will become stronger..... don't think too much either.... I don't think I need to expain that one... something tells me you already know..... Good Luck Babe

Deal with the issues behind your USE. Paranoia and depression are just symptoms of what's deep within you - all your childhood issues. I'm certain you'll be tempted again to USE. Heard of the term, 'repeat offender'? Addicts are highly prone to that, you being young at that! This is just a warning, not judgment.
Talk to someone safe.

How a person reacts to drugs can differ. Illegal drugs can cause permanent mental health issues including Schizophrenia. Hopefully your symptoms will improve. Be thankful that you can still put together a coherent sentence.

People and medics keep warning people about these things and nobody takes any notice. At least now you know. I hope you do get rid of them. Best of luck.

i personally don't care for people who use drugs, but if you reduce your usage or stop using ecstasy for a while, you condition should get better or disappear.
and if you have still have a small paranoia, then dont worry. acute paranoia is something that everyone develops in their life.
