As mentioned here it is better to do good packing and send them in a train. It is always good to take a marine insurance cover for the transit.
U will have to renew ur motor policy, so inform the insurance authorities about ur new address.
I do not know about the re-registration that u will have to do. Kindly contact the authorities regarding this. There are agents who can help u.

Hi, dear Friend,
It's very much easy to send your bike through train. The only precaution you must take is to took out total fuel from petrol tank, otherwise it's a great offence. and another care u must take, don't forget apply cover on the body of vehicle.
