I am 38weeks pregnant now but when i was 21weeks pregnant, i went to have a scan. at 1st the lady who scanned me thought i was havin a baby girl but then she double checked and said that im deffinately having a baby boy... i have bought baby boy clothes and already have a name for bubs but i am scared that she might be wrong... what should i do?

My grandmother's method : check your shape of tummy.
Round shape (smooth round) - high possibility of boy.

Congratulations, It is always best to be prepared for either or. Having a scan now would be better and possibly more correct but its really only a 50/50 guess. It is easier to mistake a boy to be a girl, as it needs to be the right view and the babys position is very important. Sometimes they mistake the umbelical cord, but it also depends if the baby puts its hands there. I think you should forget about both and see what you think or feel deep down. Have you tried other old wives tales to see, like the piece of hair with a wedding ring, place it over your belly and watch it with steady hand. If it goes back and forth its a boy if it goes around in a circle its a girl. Its more just for fun but it has been right with all mine so far. Good luck and remember the ring test will show all babys in order, miscarriages included.

ive heard the first time they do an ultrasound the baby can be positioned differently to where they cant see anything. Then the next its apparent that it turns out to be a boy because he is positioned differently. My baby didnt want to show what he was until about 6 months. Good Luck!

I think if you deperately need to know, you can get a 3d or 4d ultrasound done. The basic package costs anywhere from $125-175.
It will keep your mind in peace and you can also get to see how your baby will look. They look very similar to the sonogram pictures. You get to have a dvd of that too if you ask for it.

wait....maybe the 1st time baby boy had his legs closed and then she saw she was a he...or maybe she is a he...or is could be that he was a she then a he right before he was a she...it's all too confusing ...U CAN NEVER BE TOO SURE...PATIENCE
