Humans, maybe some animals have the ability to stop and think about what they are thinking about. Nobody has been able to create a machine yet that can do that. Humans are able to make nonsense and then recombine it to make sense, again this is not possible by a machine yet. The organic brain has a lot of design flaws and often uses methods that are not precise but are "Good Enough" to work when a machine would bog down and fail. Machines don't "think"!
So in processing speed, in memory, in computation yes the Internet exceeds human capacity. In knowing what to do with that capacity there is nothing but a conscious mind that can do it.

The Internet is a huge library.
The human brain is a thinking machine, not a library. We only store in our brain what information is important to us.
So you cannot compare the two.
Without our brain, the Internet would not have existed and would disappear tomorrow if we were not there to keep it alive.
Believe it or not... but it is a human brain which operate Google. If the guy pull the plug out of the computer, Google dies.

You're talking about power or capacity? Internet capacity is bigger but has no brain to be compared with the one who created it.

Information capacity- the internet.
Memory capacity- the internet.
Control capacity- the human brain. (try getting the internet to juggle three balls!)

The human brain is still more powerfull. there is still no software that can logically reason. the internet can't think of questions to search itself with, and if it even did.. it wouldn't know what to do with the information it has.
Takes a brain to do that.

The internet is simply a storage of infomation but can't really process any of it. However, your brain can process the infomation it recieves.
