My digital camera cable fits but I don't want to break anything by just plugging it in. I'm not sure if the software is necessary or just to get you to buy it.

Yes, you need the driver for the phone to connect via usb. But i recommend getting a bluetooth adapter. After installing it, you can connect any phone that has bluetooth (Motorola L6 has bluetooth) to your computer. It's easy to use and if you change your phone you don't have to buy a new usb cable, new software.

if u use motorola l6!! for sure u buy n u will get the cable right??

but that cable u cant use to transfer data from computer to ur handphone!!

if u do so!! u need the software!!

i also use l6!! but cant transffrer data from comp to hp!!

[p/s: i have search the software but there is no for L6.

go onto motorola website you can link handset up that way get latest software and things and it will install phone on pc but you cant transfer data for some reason

yes you need a Motorola phone tools disc this will allow you to transfer music and pictures between your computer and the phone. this disc works for most Motorola phones

the usb will fit, but windows will ask for the installation cd with the drivers on it..
