Notes I have gathered for research on my new book, regarding a gypsie charachter.

The Roma originally lived in North West India and migrated to persia from year 224. They lived under Arab rule in the middle east from 642 to 900CE and eventually arrived in Constantinople. By the 14 and 15th centuries they had drifted to western Europe.

There are three language groups within the Roma, The Domari (middle East an Eastern Europe)
The Lomarvren (central Europe)
The Romani (western Europe)

If you really want more details, do a google search on them, there is lots out there.

If you would like to learn about their enslavement, torture and other sufferings by this group try putting The Pariah Syndrome in your browser and check out what this person found for his Phd thesis.
