I have been through some hell times in my 59 years, lots of heart ache, lot of illness, loss of family members ( young and old).
However I have 4 great kids all married with kids of their own, grand ma to 13 1/4, , work hard with people who live worse lives than many due to mental Ilness, I have plenty of love around me, I have plenty of love to share also.
I re educated myelf, and although i am disabled, suffer lots of physical pain, spinal tumor, R/A, asthma, heart diease, but just love life, Love to learn, learning is my addiction as is my love for people and family, golly why not want to keep on living.
I have many things I still wish to see, achieve, and offer .
No to time for pesimism, its a waste of very precious time.
At 40, my marriage of 22 yrs was over, I moved 2000 miles, I became very unwell, put on a pension, pain and lots of surgery.
However my love for family, life, and moving on, changed my path, yet again, another milestone, and at 59, I have so much to do, so many to share life with wouldn,t want anything more than health and enough money to make my life and other just a little easier, more comfortable.
Get on with your life, you have to help yourself to make some things happen, so get started and make a difference.
Come back in few months and tell what you have changed, to make you feel more optamistic.

If you were to become 40 overnight, it would probably be a big shock to your system. But you get to approach it gradually. I can say that it was much more upsetting to turn 29 ("I'm almost 30!") than to actually turn 30. I felt no different that day than the previous one, and frankly a whole lot better (in whole) than I did at age 20.

You'll get used to it, heck you might even enjoy it.

And you can't blame the people who are 40+ who are about to berate you for making fun of things you don't understand.

I make $340 a day. I drink, smoke, cuss and still can run a mile in 6 minutes. I have 3 girlfriends aged 20, 26, and 31. A few times all at once. I have been in 2 wars and expect to go again. My goal in life is to be shot by an 18 year old jealous husband when I am 90. Kiss my ***.

Sure Is.

I have more Gfs today than when I was 30 years old..... I certainly have more financial security than when I was 30 years old.

I have Married Daughters with Children....That makes me a gran Father.

Also, I made more mistakes at age 30....Now that I am over 40, I am wiser and make fewer Mistakes.

Life is Pretty Good.....It's a Wonderful world out there...smiles.

Believe it or not, life actually gets better when you get your sh*t together and can finance the things you want to do, when you have developed a real sense of yourself and where your life is going. Sex is better, too. Unless you have REALLY let yourself go, the physical differences are barely noticeable. I guess the best thing to tell someone like you is to wait until you're 39, then ask yourself the same question. You'll get it then, I assure you.

of course there is. well, life starts at 40. u have all the time to do ur nasty stuff in ur younger years and u have all the time to think about ur soul (if u believe in life after death) on the later part of ur life if ur lucky to live longer. anyway, whatever ur belief is, th more u live the more u can enjoy life to its fullest. so of course, there a point in living after 40, unless u have the fear to grow old, which u have to face if ur destined to live a long life.
