Because they brought the people food for them when they were starving, for thanks the Europeans got serious about wiping them off the face of the earth. Not much about this is history books but found out latter in life. In the 1800's there was still a poster in the post office in San Francisco showing a cash reward of a braves head a squaw, and a baby's head. Americans should be proud to have made drunks out of a once proud and good people. We have destroyed a culture, language and way of life that is much better than we could ever imagine. We have polluted and are destroying planet earth.

it fairly is an exceedingly reliable spirit. all and sundry desires to make his own judgements on celebrating right now or no longer, yet JWs are inspired to have a spontaneous spirit of thanksgiving from the coronary heart the 300 and sixty 5 days around. a number of them do no longer opt for to have fun Thanksgiving, as a results of fact they think of that it exhibits as they could have confidence in one-day-a-3 hundred and sixty 5 days gratitude. they opt for to have spirit of thanksgiving on a daily basis. some others produce different motives. it fairly is a private determination.

Look up the history. It actaually is a celbration of when Squanto showed the settlers how to survive and in return, they sared their rewards with the native people. It represents something good.
I know some people want to wallow in the negative for hundreds of years but at one point, people have to realize, the past is going to remain that way, learn from it, don't repeat it, and make things better.
I have native american blood in me, and guess what? I am glad we are now a European offshoot. I don't digest Buffalo well or like living in Teepees.

because we will always be responsible for some kind of wrongdoing - so you almost can't use it as a valid excuse anymore lol
Everyone needs a day to be thankful for what they have. Even the indians.
As a matter of fact, we would do even better to celebrate Thanksgiving monthly. We'd be fatter...but better :-)

You're right: native americans gave food to immigrants, and they killed them.

That is partly true but some came together to make peace and to share and get together so they can make trades.
