Hi there,

Double Data rate synchronous dynamic random access memory is better known DDR SD RAM is known for the technology which facilitates transmission of data on both rising and falling edges of clock. DDR2 is the successor of DDR RAM.

Theoretically, The basic difference between DDR and DDR2 is their clock speeds. DDR has 200, 266, 333 and 400 MHZ . Whereas DDR2 is double clock speeds DDR2 400, 533, 667 and 800 MHz. More the clock speeds, faster the transmission of data.

DDR2 also boasts to have power saving features.

DDRRAM bus speed is upto 400MHz.DDR2RAM are more than that bus speed.
