I need a alternate word for 'things' in reference to 'emotions and aspects'. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help so far, heres the context: "At first hearing the soliloquy, I thought it was a little too comical and sarcastic, but as it progressed, I was captivated by the multitude of emotions and aspects of Hamlet’s character that Carlson portrayed in one single soliloquy. Granted these THINGS are all present in the text, as I mentioned, simply reading the text does not give you the full experience of the greatness of the speech.

aspect--synonym = look, view, ootlook, attitude,

Thing=situation


Instead of saying I am all peed off about some *thing* say "I am all peed off about this *situation*."

Instead of saying this *thing* is pizzing me off, say, "This *situation* is pizzing me off."
