Yup. That's right. Electrons are generally located in diffuse shells arranged around a very dense nucleus. All matter on earth is basically empty space. Do searches under "Rutherford atom" and "neutrinos" for more information.

Atoms are not at all empty.
It is true that the size of the protons, neutrons and electrons is small. But the electrons form a cloud around the nucleus. The density of this cloud varies - and for some atoms it has areas where it is zero. But in most cases all of the space around the atom is occupied by this cloud.

It isn't that all the entities of atoms are just fixed at a point leaving most of the space inside the atom to be empty.In fact atoms consists of a dense core consisting of neutrons and protons and the electrons keep revolving around the atom in different shells. The presence of electrons at a particular point cannot be judged precisely rather they follow a probability distribution. You require whole lot of quantum mechanics to explain even the simplest of atoms. So, its not that most of the space inside the atom are useless.
Its something like you are at your home most of the time but you might also go to your college or market etc etc.So, we cannot say that you are only at your home and have nothing to do with other places.Its only that you are most likely to be found at your home.

Umm... No. Atoms are not empty space.
The nucleus of an atom is 99.9% of its mass.
Protons' and neutrons' mass = 1.067 x 10^-27
And electrons are 1,836 times smaller than protons and neutrons.
Anything that has mass occupies space. Atoms are just incredibly small, yet they still occupy space.

I have found a way to create an observable zero, or "empty" space, but the achievement of zero space is irreversable...
meaning that it is impossible to explain the return from empty space. I need about $25,000 to make it happen, but I'm not sure that I can explain how you would be repaid...

Yes. But we don't diffuse into each other when we hug, due to repulsion between the electrons (-ve charge) on top of the atoms that we are made of.
