at presentations, theres a cable that is connected from a laptop to a projector to project whatever is on the laptop onto the screen. anybody can help with the name of this cable? thanks

well, in my school, its blue, and identical on both ends, with PLENTY of spocks in them. i think like most cables, there are screws to fasten them. i dont know how to describe it!haha

Depends on the laptop and projector.
It may be a A-B USB cable.
It may be a serial cable.
It's hard to know from what you have told us so far.

the cable is called a VGA cable. it looks like a big D lying on it's side with 21pins (you call them sprocks) inside arranged into 3 rows.
VGA stands for Video Graphics Adapter.
