Why don't you ask him who it is and see how valid the answers are. If it sounds like an obvious lie then you better start looking for more clues.

You have in the back of your mind 'could my husband be having an affair?' He could also be having serious stress at work, financial trouble or it could be just regular reminders on his calendar.
To stop imagining and guessing what it might be just say to him, "Is everything ok with work?". He might be having an awful time under extreme pressure and like a typical man doesn't want to tell you.
I once read a story that a husband was made redundant yet pretended to his wife he was going to work each day. She thought he was having an affair though really he was too ashamed to tell her what had really happened at work.
Men don't communicate when stressed - they hide it inside. Give him some time to tell you. If he's still secretive then you need to look at his phone when he's fast asleep in the middle of the night and find out if he needs support or a kick up the backside.

Best of luck.

Ok there are a few reasons why your husband gets a text message at more or less time everyday. He could have signed up to one of the news channels which send out headline news in text messages form to mobile phone.. He could have also set up his e-mail account so that it sends him alerts about any mail he has received.. Finally he could be having a text flirty fling.. Not sure how you will find out which of these is the reason other than asking him.

You could wait until he's in the shower or asleep and check his phone. I'm not sure you should be worried, but you should look into it. If that doesn't work check the phone bill then call the number and see who answers. Don't get too freaked out yet though-- it's not nec something to be concerned about yet. Good luck.

Ask him, or failing that get hold of the phone. Be ready for the answer though, you may not like it.

tell him you want to see the text messages
if he's got nothing to hide then he'll show you,
it sounds to me like there is something going on,especially that you say his phone is NOW always with him.i wouldn't leave it,
