Do you believe that some people are just born evil?

Or do you think they are made that way by horrible neglect and/or abuse?

Or are they born with a propensity to evil and any little thing can push them that way?

I think some people are born with mental problems which makes them a threat to our society and then I think we get the few who were raised horribly and do things to hurt other people, just give them a boost.... Sad but very true, you never know when someone could snap and what could cause it.

I think yes sometimes...and some studies have shown strong evidence that this may be true...some people are simply born w' a propensity toward "evil". How do you explain the psycho who does terrible things that honestly grew up w' the loving normal family,had no history of sexual abuse by anyone and wasn't harassed in school, etc. The only thing that stands out in their life is the fact that as a child they had little or no feeling for others a lot of the time, they hurt others or small animals and so on. Some scientists say it is simply the make up of thier brain, chemistery and so on.

I think we are all born with a propensity to get our needs met, and a propensity of caring for others. Those who feel their needs are never met and dont give a hoot about others, well they can do some REALLY EVIL things. The shocker for me is those who don't outgrow this when they have niceness and/or blessings enter their lives. I cannot understand how they leverage others to get more more more and never say "Oooh, wow, thanks! I can relax and help out now!"
But I've seem 'em, even fallen in love with 'em.

They are evil, indeed. But their perspective is that someone owes them. I think maybe it might have been a parent, but the world pays forever! We might be able to blame the step mom (Snow White's, Cinderella's, Sleeping Beauty's), who comes from a compensatory feeling of "less than" but in today's world, we have Ted Bundy, certain political and religious "leaders" who have a quest for power/money. In yesterday's world we have Satan. I think "nasty" bad boys/girls of today appeal to the both the resentful and the nurturing aspect of every human being. As that ancient folk tale says...it depends on which one you feed.

Everybody is born with an evil side. Some just don't ever show it. Some are pushed over the edge by something that happens in their lives. But then some that are "evil" didn't have a reason, they just don't care.

That would actually be a good question to ask someone in prison for murder. You know, ask them why they did it, and if they had the chance would they do it again.

But people can refrain from being evil. It just takes control.

Though you are not born evil, you can be born into evil. Evil is a choice. And, it becomes a habit. It is a sorry waste of a spirit. It is modeled and it is nurtured, and so, it is passed on as if it were a trait.

I believe God gives everyone choices! If someone is evil it's from the bad choices they have made. There are alot of people that don't have the best childhood or education, I was one of them, but it doesn't have to set the criteria for which we live our lives! People need to decide if things like that will make them or break them! I am glad that with God's help my experiences in life have made me!

From all of the reading and studying I have done most bad people seem to be a product of their environment. Though there are some true bad seeds that are born that way. They are missing a conscious. They care only for themselves and gratification of their wants.

I heard a long time ago "every one is born pure, no one is born a evil, bullies aren't born, nice people aren't born, artists aren't born, they're are all made that way by certain influence" and i couldn't agree more.

I believe people are pushed into becoming evil even the smallest thing can push someone rigth over the edge.

Everyone is capable of some sort of evil...it depends on environment, upbringing{and all that contains}, tolerance, temperament. It's in us, as the human animal, to create and perpetuate evil.
