I started watching Angel a short time ago on TNT. They have showed an episode or rather storyline a few times now but for some reason I keep missing it. Can someone tell me where the Black lady (I think they said her name was Jasmine), came from and why everyone was trying to worship her? Why did the guy's face melt where she touched him and why is it that Fred could see something different when no one else could? And the last question is how did things end?

I see no one has answered this so far so I'll jump in. I have to warn you, although I am a manic Buffy and Angel fan, I think the Jasmine storyline was really unfortuneate. OK, Cordelia and Connor had sex (ewwww) and Cordy gave birth to Jasmine; an evil being from another dimension who ate people to keep up her powers. Everyone who saw or heard her was under her spell and became mindless Jasminites. The only way that people could see what she really looked like was if her blood mixed with theirs. Fred could see the real her because she had come in contact with her blood when trying to clean Jasmine's bloody shirt. She scrubbed it till her fingers bled. One by one, the team was shown the real Jasmine except for Connor, who could see the real Jasmine all along, but was so screwed up he thought she was swell anyway. He also knew that she ate people, but was ok with too. In the end, Angel went to another dimension and found a way for everyone to see the real her and general chaos ensued with everyone running and screaming. Jasmine and Angel had a big smackdown and Jasmine was about to pummel Angel, but Connor stepped in and killed her then ran away. In the very end, the team got control of Wolfram and Hart because they basically ended world peace. Everyone was happy as a Jasmanite even though she was an evil, mind-controlling *****. A truly unfortuneate era in the Angel storyline.
