I never ever felt that I love someone the way love is described - that you feel this is the right person and no one else. I think there are many compromises to make. some say dont go with some one you feel you dont love enough; yet there seems to be no such event. Does each person have mr / ms right out there or its rhetoric?

My Mr. Right is already dead, so if I'm to have any hope for the future I've got to believe that there's no such thing as a Mr. Right. Although to do so is painful.

Some people never really fall in love. It's probably got nothing to do with emotional stuntedness but that doesn't stop some people thinking that this is the case. We're all subtly different so why should we all be able to fall head over heels in love?

Every time you love someone you think it's "right". Love is just a combination of the right feelings that someone reflects back at you that fill that magical place in you that set off all those feelings of elation. You will fall in love repeatedly in your life...even after you are married if you allowed yourself to act on your feelings as if you were single you would find someone that could make you fall in love again.

Knowing when it's right requires a lot of life experience. It's when you have gained enough experience and you meet someone that you can say, this person has all the right parts that fit in beautifully with mine...it's like the other half of a whole that you know just fits. The feeling is right, the person is right. You DO just know it because the feeligns are totally and completely MUTUAL.

People fall in love and marry for a million different reasons and circumstances, but to be happy and make it work requires committment and work, understanding and compromise, and you have to be able to fill each others needs, emotionally and intellectually, and the relationship is nothing without respect.

You need to make the right choice for you, because you will meet all kinds of people you can and will have relations with, but only one you will want to spend forever with.

According to Socrates Love is"the desire to possess something or someone in the future".

Now that sounds a bit clingy but the point I'm making is if you've ever felt totally involved with someone, thinking about them constantly, wanting to do things for them then thats love. Its wanting to give but also fearing it may one day be lost.

But you're right. Love isn't just about this. There are compromises to make and this is again where love will show you the way. Basically if you love that someone you will compomise.

Mr/Mrs right, imo, is that person that you feel is right but that is also practical enough to compromise themselves as much as you should to keep that love alive.

So in a way its rhetoric - but the rhetoric is there just to fill in the gaps left by idealism.

If you haven't fallen in love with someone then thats unfortunate - best thing to do is take your eye off the ball "a waiting kettle never boils"

Everyone has a perfect mate, its finding them that is the problem. Your mate may be on the other side of the world, or the woman who gives you coffee at the cafe. Just keep your eyes and heart open for them.

Yes there is, a person that you cant imagine living without. A person you at times wonder how you survived before you met them. it took me a long time to find him, you have to be patient..... You also need to differentiate between infatuation and love.
