Recessive genes. A niece of mine had her hair turn white via age 20, something that hasn't handed off in generations, yet has handed off on my mom's area. i understand a woman with some Mexican background who has brown hair and grey eyes. Her husband is honest and blue-eyed. Their son is tan with black hair and brown eyes and he resembles his father.

yes the probability is not great but everyone carries the genes for every eye color with some being more probable than others, but every color is possible.

anyone can have almost any color eyes or hair than their parents have. You have these genes inheirited from 3-4 generations up. (Great, great, grandparents....great, grandparents...and grandparents)
