The reason I ask is because I noticed the clear stretchy mucus eight days after my period started but I now (6 days before my next period) notice the thick white discharge, no smell of course. When did I ovulate?

Ovulation comes after the clear stretchy mucus stops, the next 3 or 4 days after that are you most likely days of ovulation. I recenly found it on a website. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant and were looking for the signs of ovulation on the internet, we found some really good info on: ww5.americanbaby.com BTW it's a free website.

Hope this helps!

Ovulation is highly irregular for the first few years following puberty. If you are still a teenager, it will probably be difficult to tell exactly when ovulation occured. If you have already had your period for several years, then you will ovulate 14 days before the first day of your next period, regardless of how long the period lasts.

The clear mucus means you are fertile and close to ovulation. Chances are that if you saw this mucus on day 8, you probably ovulationed 3 or 4 days later. Your best bet is to try using ovulation test kits to pinpoint it better.

Everybody's cycle is special - and if you feel you might have an iron deficiency, that might play an element. Nevertheless, ovulating on a rather irregular agenda isn't abnormal, so i would not worry. First-rate of luck!

It depends how long your cycle is. I have a 21 day cycle and ovulate about 8 days after my LMP.
