As many have pointed out - there is already a substantial structure, which looks very much like a wall, weaving its way through the country of Palestine. The side of it which abutts Israel is, strangely, since it is wholly within Palestine, lived in by Israelis. So long as the Israeli people illegally occupy Palestinian terrritory, how can there be any sort of lasting peace? Why they don't just go home is beyond me. Countless UN resolutions, since the early 1950's say they should, but they only seem to listen to the UN when it suites them.

The walls primary propose is a land grab. If the Israelis were so insistent that it is a wall of protection why not build it on the 1945 UN agreed border line? The wall weaves it way right through Palestinian territory, cutting Palestinians off from their homes, schools and farms. The terrorist state of Israel does not intend for there to be any peace, hence the wall will not bring about peace.

firsty to speak on this matter, we must be liberal and look on the good side of each part whether it is palestine or israel. for me personally, the wall will only make peace out of question. history shows that when germany divided into two, west and east germany, the people did not live in peace because of tensions on each walls. so, to make peace, the walls should not be constructed and long term peace will stand if both the parties open up their cooperation and stop the violence.. the palestine should stop attacking innocent israel citizen, and the israel stop breach the border and kill innocent people of palestine. that the most better idea than creating walls. did you know the border isnt created on the border but inside palestine territory?

As long as Palestinian civilians are allowed freedom of movement, and as long as they continue to receive enough foreign aid to rebuild the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and as long as all Palestinian militants and Israeli occupation troops are removed...Then yes. I support the two state solution, but the Hamas government won't because it refuses to recognize Israel and believes only in an Islamic state ruling both Israel and Palestine. Getting Hamas out of the way and replacing it with a more diplomatic political party like Fat-h is the first step to peace.

The way the Palestinians are acting, it is doubtful that there will ever be a "Palestine". If push comes to shove and the Israelis figure out that a peaceful co-existence is impossible, they will somehow drive the Palestinian population out to the desert toward Jordan.

nothing will bring peace to that region. as long as american supplies are being used to supress the palestinian people we will be in a cross-fire.
israel will continue to pick fights with all their neighbors until the neighbors put down their differences and attack israel.

There are barriers in some places. They don't stop rockets.
Their will not be peace as long as there are Arabs living west of the Jordan River.

Israel is merely a cancer on the land of Palestine. It is unsustainable because it is killing its host.
