You should ask as many questions as you need to. Making sure your wife (and child) get healthy food is a concern of course. Your doc cannot give you 100% gaurantee on the baby's health. There are test to determine that all is going well and you should expect things like the doctor saying, "everything looks fine" and he may follow with suggestions for a healthy pregnancy. Peace and prayers! Happy parenting! :)

No one can give you a guarantee. If she should be watching her sugar, then that is what you should be focusing on helping her with.
Women have had many complications during pregnancies and their babies were born healthy...health changes however...children can develop allergies, have low immune systems, become asthmatic, diabetic and Lord forbid jsut like my child develop cancer.
There are no guarantees with anything in life, even when they ARE born healthy. One just never knows what the fates have in store for us. My son is fine now btw but I learned the hard way nothing is for certain or for ever either.

That is true with the sugar. But, doctor's cannot guarantee that your baby will be born healthy. It's all up to the mother, and what she does. Whatever the mother eats, drinks, and injests goes to the baby too. Tell your wife that for me.
Good Luck!

The doctor can't guarentee you anything.
He can only say that there is a however many percent possibility that your child will come out okay. Sometimes there's even gliches in the system, and they might not be able to detect something, or they might say that there's something wrong when there's not.
When my roommate's mom was pregnant with my roommie's brother, the doctor said to abort the child b/c it would have a very very severe case of down syndrome. One of the worst stages. But she went ahead and had the child, and there was NOTHING wrong with him. He just had a slight case of a cleft foot that they were able to fix.

It's impossible to guarantee that a baby will be healthy. Even if he/she has no health problems, there could be complications during the birth. You've just got to hope for the best, because there are no guarantees.

Im sure your wifes doctor is giving her the best treatment she can get through her pregnacy. All he will probably tell you is that everything looks fine and if he was to catch something wrong it would be immediately brought to your attention. They are only doctors and not gods. I dont think he or she will give you a gaurentee.

no one can give that guarantee. Even if her sugar is totally controlled, other things can happen. Most of the time everything turns out great. A guarantee can't be given.

No one can give you that guarantee. They can monitor and tell you what they find from tests, but until the baby is born, you wont be 100 percent certain.

He can guarantee it if your willing to pay for all the test and if it comes back that the baby isn't healthy your wife is willing to have an abortion. You do realize this makes you sound very selfish.
