There is nothing wrong with me Katie. My house mate left the oven on for 2 nights so I am trying to find out how much I have to charge him.

Gas Mark 8 is High, and leaving your Oven on for 7 hours would put your Bill up at approximately £1.17p
Telephone your Gas Provider and they will be able to give you the exact amount, but I'm sure I have got it right.

I don't know where you live but the US average is:
gas ovens with an electric ignition cost about $0.18/hour at 350 degrees.
If it uses a pilot light, it's about $0.15/hour at 350 degrees.

Depends on the gas flow at mark 8.....control marks are not all the same.
