There is this man, a college of mine, who goes out of his way to pester me at work. I think he's jealous because I'm his senior. It won't help to report him because he makes sure we're always alone when he says nasty things to me. In front of others he'll be nice an cooperative, like there's nothing wrong. He always threatens to report me for things I haven't done, like talking to my friends on the telephone or entertaining my friends on the company's account. How do I get him to stop pestering me?

If it's not possible to record him, just tell him if he doesn't stop harrassing you, you're going to spread a rumour that he's gay or something that you know he'll be scared of. Good luck.

File a grievance on him, go to your Human Resources department and talk to someone. If you haven't done anything wrong you should not have to worry about him telling on your for anything. For one if he tries to tell those lies after you've reported him it will just make him look very immature and put him in a negative light. I would do something now before it gets worse, and you are his senior, take some authority for goodness sakes!

Conceal a small voice activated tape recorder (maybe in your bag) and record some of the things that he says to you. Then play the conversations back to him. It'll be an excellent laxative (he'll sh-t in his pants).

I can't understand why people are so evil...so timely about it too...threaten him right back or complain to him to the Higher Ups, about the same things he's threatening to tell on you about...what a jerk...that's not cool of him...but try n do things that will get you in trouble in front of him!

Get a recorder and record him saying nasty things to you. Give it to your other colleagues, then make sure you are never alone with him EVER AGAIN.

turn it on when you see him coming
ask him a question that leads him into his folly
play it back for your boss
