Yes, feeling dizziness,vertigo and weaknes after blood donation is quite normal issue.So its better you take rest and have lots of liquid diet i.e. juices,milk etc.You can also take multi vitamins to improve your health status and do not donate blood for another 6 months to get your blood re-generated.Get well soon and stay healthy.

Blood donation is like bleeding after trauma. It suddenly decreases blood supply to brain. Donor feels giddy and very briefly become unconcious. But immediately the Blood Pressure rises as a compensatory mechanism to supply enough blood to brain and one feels normal again.

friend u have done a great job ,which may help in giving life 2 others. by donating blood normally we find weakness in us. for u i advice 2 u to do excercise early in morning daily. eat lots of leafy vegetables in food. eat thrice a week beetroot to regain u r blood. at the most be positive always. take fruits in juice form to gain energy . i wish u all the best for further such activities . god is thier with u...........OM

By what I've heard in the blood drive at my school, that's completely normal. Some people actually go completely unconscious or even begin vomiting. Don't worry.

i think this is a normal thing.when we donate our blood,blood quantity in our body decreases.in the period of 3-4 months our body recovers the lost blood. so,dont worry at all about it.

Check with a Doc whether you have low blood pressure or low RBC count.This is not a normal symptom.

Of course they have screened you before you donated, there are instances when these happens, especially if the transfer is so rapid. have a rest after this first and recover.
