Last statistic I saw was back in 1992 just before I retired so thing may have changed, but at that time it was: Highest gay male, Marines; Highest gay female, Army; Highest overall, Navy.

It's definitely the Marines. It's purely because of the "Manley" reputation of the Marines. Most gays struggle with their sexuality going into adulthood. Due to social and perceived family exceptance issues, they try to suppress it. They view the marines as a way to "make a man out of themselves". But when they join, they find many other people who had the same idea and usually end up accepting their queerness rather than trying to change it. Per capita, more gays in the marines than any other service.

It's definitely not the marines. I would venture to say that it is the Navy. Think about it.... all those guys together on one boat!! Actually, I'm kidding. I was aiming that comment at my friend Chris!. (wink! wink!)
Anyway, there is actually no way to tell with the Don't ask, don't tell policy. What does it matter anyway? We are all people and sexual orientation shouldn't make a difference in the way that you treat your fellow man.

If you have never served in the Marines as at least a First Sergeant or Company Commander OR ABOVE you do know ****. So dont try to be an "expert" nor comment.
