I apologize for this being somewhat graphic,,, Yesterday I started having a different discharge than I've ever had, it is very dark(brownish) in color. I am not due to start my period until next week, and am on my second month of a new birth control; I switched from Ortho Evra(the patch) to Nuva Ring. The discharge is very light, only needing a small liner. I have had no cramping, or no other symptoms. Has anyone ever had this problem or know anyone that has?

Do not EVER use birth control! It messes up the natural chemical reactions in your body and you can actually be left with permanent disabilities from them. Also, they could mess up your heart and stomach. Yes, the experiences you are having are abnormal, and the best way to stop this is to get off of the birth control.

it's because of the ring it is forcing out old lining that may have been left over from your last period. i would ask your doctor though, because it could be an allergic reaction to the ring as well

Yes i have; and know its not normal,{it sounds like the beginings of a bacterial infection.} Call the gyno man first thing in the morning. Take no chances with your health AT ANY TIME.
