sounds like a nasty allergic reaction....

don't apply anything to your face-this includes allergy creams like hydrocortisone or benadryl creams. they could actually make the rash worse.

take oral bendadryl tablets. 1-2 of the 25mg tablets every 6 hours but no more than 4 doses in 24 hours.

if after 24 hours of using the benadryl-the rash is still present and your face is still burning-then make an appt to see your dr. you might need antibiotics to get rid of the rash-sometimes allergic reactions are so severe, only antibiotics can treat them

in the future don't use the zest again and you might want to check the label and compare it with other soaps-if they have the same ingredients then it's probably best to avoid them as well. i've found dove and ivory to work best on faces-they don't contain harsh perfumes or dyes and won't irritate your skin

You had an allergic reaction to it. Benadryl is good for allergic reactions. Put some kind of lotion that contains Aloe on your face, this will soothe the irritation. Best would be to break off a piece of an aloe plant and rub the aloe on your face. The bumps will eventually go away. The soap dried out your skin.

Zest soap is an anti-bacterial soap and you should never use such a harsh soap on your face, the skin is too delicate. I buy facial wash in a pump bottle to clean my face.

Probably you break out because you are eradicating the pimples that were just below the surface. Sometimes a cure will make things worse at first. Here is what I suggest: Get into the habit of washing your face twice a day. Use a non-detergent gentle foaming cleanser for normal to oily skin. Then use a toner. Kiehl's has a tea tree toner that will cleanse your skin further and also act as an antiseptic - healing and soothing your skin. At night use their sodium pca oilfree moisturizer. If you want to control the oil throughout the day, then try Kiehl's Blue herbal moisturizer. You find Kiehl's at high-end specialty stores (like Nordstrom and Neimans)- but they are big on sampling so you can try them first. Plus, they are actually pretty cheap...but nothing works better for oily skin. And if it doesnt work, you can bring it back. A second choice, if you are young - is clinique's 3 step process...wash, tone (clarifying lotion #2 ) and moisturize (use the gel lotion)

Zest is really too strong for the face and you may have an allergy to some ingredient in it. I would apply some soothing lotion and from now on just use a mild soap like Ivory.

Don't use the Zest any more, for sure!

You are, apparently, allergic to it. You might want to try taking some benedryl and some soothing lotions.....perhaps, one of the Aveeno products.

I can't use Zest, either. Or, Coast.

Sounds like your allergic to that brand of soap. Try a different brand or the brand you used before. In the meantime try some noxzema for your rash.

you should have gone to the DR. at the start of symptoms. You are allergic to the soap. It sounds like you are getting well. Go to doctor if you feel it's not healing quickly enough.

I don't suggest you use any lotion or anything to put on yo facial skin at this time.
Allergy may develope because facial skin is very senstive.
The problem u have can be compared to burn. Don't put anything on it.
You might want to wait until it goes away. Otherwise, call yo doctor.
