there are different ways of holding drumsticks, but can you tell me a few?

I know that Mick Tucker, drummer for 70's English group The Sweet used to hold the sticks at the thin end, and bash the drums with the thick end. Evidently he got a bigger sound that way. Mick passed away a few years ago, after a long illness.

carry them between your thumb and pointer finger. Then use your 3 free palms to flow it up and down. the attitude relies upon on what drum you're hittng. purely what feels organic. It takes a good number of practice to get solid at it.
