You can start having feelings as soon as you notice differences between genders and which you like better. It all depends on your resources what you can and cannot tell about your orientation. I can tell you that I had feelings for girls when I was in 2nd grade, but I live in a small town in the midwest so didn't really know anyone else to have these feelings till I was in college. So yeah, you can tell your orientation that early, but the question is are you strong enough to come out?

I think a homosexual or lesbian person knows before that time, before puberty even starts. I think a bisexual fellow or gal notices bisexual feelings around that time but think they are going through a "stage." Some bisexuals accept their orientation at a young age but I would say most don't until early adulthood. So, to answer your question: Gays and lesbians probably do know their orientation by 13 but I suspect they know before that. Bisexuals (especially guys) sense bisexual urges but usually don't self-label or self-identify until later. It's a slower self-coming out process for bisexuals.
P.S. There is most definitely a sense for the male bisexual that he is "different" from straights and gays by age 13 and that difference becomes more apparent as he grows up. Hope this helps you.

Some know at that age or less! The sooner you know the better you can develop like a normal teenager; dates, dances, the things I avoided because I was a confused nerd! Still, It's a hard life. There will be tough times ahead with the creeps in school that give you a hard time. The key is to be yourself in moderation! You don't have to be a flamer, just focus on your studies, and try and be a normal gay teenager!

Sure why not I had my first sexual encounter when I was 13 and I am still the same way. I mean you are still young and you will learn more with age. I know you hate hearing that because I know I did when I was 13. Im not condoning sexual releations right now but you are going to do what you want to do and if your not sure try it out. Just make sure your careful with everything.

I think you can. I was a kid when I knew and when I was about 14 I knew it for sure. But my mum and adults always say; when you are a teenager, you can have feelings for both gender. So I was righteous and never told. But now I am 20 and I am a lesbian for sure. If you have feelings for women and not for men you can tell it. (but keep in mind that some people will not take you serious, cause of your age)
good luck

I finally "came out" to myself when I was 18 (I'm now 43). but, looking back, I know I was always drawn to women, never to men. at that age, when most boys and girls are going through puberty, everything can be confusing. but there are some who say they knew even younger than 13.

I was bisexual in denial at 13. I had crushes on both males and females at that age, but I didn't acknowledge it until 15.

Sure but you won't know for sure until you're older. I used to think that I was a lesbian but I'm not, I wouldn't never have a real relationship with another woman, I'd just have sexual relations.
