will i be able to print black using the color cart. only?

it can take 2 inks. black and color.

I would like to inform you that as the Deskjet 670c do not support reserve mode printing (printing using single cartridge) you may need to install both the cartridges in the printer. When you try to print black colored documents then the printer uses the combination of black and color cartridges, so you need to install both the cartridges in the printer.

No, it will come out as a kind of brown. Theoretically it should work but in reality it does not. That's why you need a black cartridge. The prime colours for an artist are: cyan, yellow, magenta. This did not work for TV either and therefore we have RGB i.e. red, green, blue. Cym is additive as opposed to RGB which is subtractive.

With that particular printer no. Anytime you are taking two or more cartridges the printer is unable to colour mix.


The best way to go about it is to print in dark purple or green. Be warned that you will run through your colour cartridge very quickly doing that.

the time it took you to type up this question and waiting for answers you could've used to go out and buy a new black ink cartridge for your printer b/c you're gonna need one nevertheless.

ya by mixing at leats 3-6 colors like blue,green,red,yellow etc but it will cost a lot
