Is it normal for a 36 years old male to mastur**** when he does not get sex from his wife (of 7 years) for a prolonged (2 months) period of time ? There is a wide difference between the sexual drive of the husband and wife (daily v/s. bi-annually). Or the man should be looking out ?

Definitely not, hey take care of your needs. It's better than committing adultery. There's more to marriage than just sex. Some women lose the drive for sex as they get older, and they know it hurts a relationship. I am sure your wife notices this problem, but she may feel uneasy to start cuddling, because it has been a while since you had intercourse. A change is nice, take her out to dinner and change the atmosphere, a motel room for a night, a bottle of wine and order an exotic flick . This will unwind both of you from the home life. It's fun! And you both will be relaxed. You need to leave the everyday home life ( work, children & stress) at home. Enjoy each other and have fun! This could be a loving and an exotic time!

It's healthy that you would resort to taking care of business in that manner if you two are not having regular sexual relations.

There are alot of things that can contribute to a reduced sex drive (ie hormonal changes, stress, depression, etc).

Talk to her and tell her how your feeling. Be sure to listen carefully to what she tells you she's feeling.

Together you can come up with some interesting and exciting alternatives to the norm. Just remember to be patient, it's difficult when one person is way ahead of the other in terms of being "ready to go".

Good luck.

Additional thought:
If you are truly serious about your marriage you will not seek solace in another womans arms. The grass may look greener... but it still needs to be watered & mowed.

Normal as the sky is blue..
The couple should talk about their differences. I recommend a book called :

Hot Relationships: How to Know What You Want, Get What You Want, and Keep it Red Hot!
By Tracey Cox

It will help in opening up the barriers that are causing the sexual rift.

Totally. It's not like it is a sin to touch your own body. Now, if you are looking at dirty pics or something, that's different. Then it's kinda disrespectful to your wife. But if it's just cause it's been that long, I see nothing wrong with it. I'm sorry there's such a gap in y'alls physical relationship. Maybe you two should try 'dating' again. It's really fun and it can make you feel closer to each other which leads to....well, you know. :)

Of course. It is certainly better than cheating. It would probably help to know why you and your wife aren't imtimate and compromise. I can't imagine any woman who only wanted sex twice a year unless there were some reason for it. Masturbate and see a marriage/sex therapist and try to find out what would make you wife want sex more.

It's normally. Women do it too. It is better to do that to be satisified than to go looking for strange. The person should be faithful to their marriage. Some people find it a turn on and want their spouse even more after that.

Oh come on! You know it is perfectly normal and safe for human beings to masturbate. Even if you are getting good sex from your partner, you can indulge in masturbation without any harm. After all, it is just sexual satisfaction by another (harmless) mean.

Yes, it is... and more than that. At least you are not harming the relationship or just grabbing anybody for the purpose

Do'nt look for other options. Try to add some excitement to your mutual act. More than drive, enjoying it together is important.

She is denying ur married right - as soon as u two were married - it becomes her duty to satisfy ur needs in any way that u want.

But dont look out.
Be faithful to her and ask her if she can have se*x with you daily.
if she says 'no' - tell her in that case you will sha*g off and will do so to take care of your needs.
Tell her to undress for you while u can sha*g while u look at her. If she is not interested in this too, tell her clearly that this gives u the right to look at anybody or anything (p*orn) and do ur thing.
Stand up for urself!!!
