You can compare and contrast pretty much anything. Your best bet would be to find a topic that you're interested in and know a lot about. That way it won't be hard to do and you'll enjoy it. Maybe you're into a certain band and you can contrast their music with classical music, for example. You could talk about how they have different instruments, different followings, but often incite the same sort of moods. Good luck!

Compare and contrast the different answers you get to your question. Compare the ones which just gave topics and contrast them with the others which showed you how.

Compare and Contrast something you know well and that others are familiar with. You could do one on Cafeteria Food Vs. Home Made Lunches or Comparing and contrasting your little brother or sister with the tazmanian devil etc> You can always compare heros in literature or in movies. Compare White Chocolate to Dark Chocolate and bring in samples.

It depends on what grade level you're in and what subject this is for. I would suggest comparing two things that have similar qualities but are different enough to be contrasted.
I recommend comparing Robert Frosts "Two Roads Diverge" and Walt Whitman's "Songs of the Open Road". They both use the road to symbolize life, but they have very different tones and speakers.
