Yeah, stay home or plan a small party with friends. New Year's Eve is amateur night with a bunch of obnoxious young jerks who try to hammer down drinks in a crowded club where you can't even move, dance or get to the bar, and they're blasted early because they can't hold their liquor or know how to pace themselves, then as midnight approaches, a bunch of people start pouring in because they want to be inside SOMEWHERE at midnight with a drink in their hand, and they're yelling in your ear, no words, just yelling (YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! FCUKING 2007!! YEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!). And in five minutes it's all over and everybody stumbles home and you can't get a freakin' cab and it's cold and you smell like smoke.

Find seven or eight of your best friends, stay home, play music, play games, tell stories, laugh, watch the countdown and just realize how lucky you are to have people like this that you can feel comfortable with.
