the human race is slowing polluting and killing the earth. if you smoke in an enclosed room with a potted plant, even though the soil's good and well watered, it will die because it is slowly being suffocated and stripped of its resources. the earth is being polluted and is being stripped of its resources. plus, we're taking away faster than we can put back. so you probably wouldn't want to drink the plant's water and be in the same room as it. i hope this draws a clear picture to help you better understand.

The Earth is alive. Our planet goes through cycles. The last ice age ended 20,000 ya. The planet has enjoyed the last 8,000 years in a good long stretch of a warm planet. The Earth has gone through this cycle several times before. Man can't stop it.
