not really, but if it has to be done, then it has to be done.

I don't think that a 16 year old girl and 8 year old boy should share a room, a 16 yr old girl needs her privacy. But if you have no other choice because of a financial situation, then you've go to do what you've got to do. If your doing it just because you feel like then it's probably not a good idea.

Oh sweetie, try to see beyond your selfishness right now and understand you only get two grandpas, okay? No, it sucks to be 16 and share a room with your little brother, but maybe you could be creative, and put up a cool tapestry or sheet to separate the room in two, y'know? Try to be a team member and help out your Mom...she's seeing her Dad lose his memories....that includes her. Imagine her not remembering you, and then think how unimportant sharing a room with your bro is compared to that. It's all perspective.

Is it humane to subject a 8 year old to the things that go on in the 16yr olds room? Or better yet a 10 year old boy to a 18 year old girl?

NO!

No its not. You see, when you turn 16, you need your privacy, your space, and stuff. So sharing a room with your 8yr old brother is not fair.

However, if you're lacking space at home, or facing some other problems, it becomes unavoidable.

What you can do is, sit down with your parents (talk to them like you're mature) and explain to them, WHY a girl who is 16 yrs old need her space. Firstly, she'll a girl. She's got her secrets, she wants sleepovers with her friends, etc.

Talk to them sensibly. Sit them down first. Show them that you are indeed growing up and require certain things.

GoodLuck!

If it has to be done because of circumstances yes it is. Or else the 16 year old girl can get her own place, pay her own rent, utlities, insurances, medical bills, cable, internet bills...groceries, transporation costs. So it's either share a bedroom or get a fulltime job and do it yourself.

It is definitely not a good idea. See if you can put up some kind of room divider such as a bookcase or some curtains so you can have some privacy.

If that's all you can do...and there's nothing else you can do.then you have to do it.

I'd think about some other solution to the problem as soon as possible.

It's not inhumane just isn't comfortable to those 2 kids @ that age. Epecially the girl.

technically, a girl and boy cannot share rooms or CPS can be called, at least in Texas, i think its a bit extreme personally.
