One of my friends already has a boyfriend and we are in 6th grade
Her boyfriend is in 7th grade.
I also have a friend who has a boyfriends and they drink out of the same cup and they kissed each other once. (shes in 4th grade)

today my friends told me (both of them) that their bf's were talking about how they should start having sex. The boys said that their friends and them had already had sex a alot of times. (the boys are brothers and their parents are pornstars who incourage sex)

Im in 7th grade, and ive had 4 bf's. At my school, everyone started dating in 6th grade. I dont think it's too young, but i know some parents do. As long as you don't do anything bad, then it should be fine.

At this age, kids are discovering the other sex, if you will. But, if it is just kissing, hand holding, and hugging, then, no--but I wouldn't go any younger. As to your friend in the 4th grade, she has puppy infatuation, and it usually goes away soon enough. Again, just hugging, hand holding, and kissing is ok--just stop at that. If it has gone beyond that stage, then it is dangerous, and the answer is that she is WAY too young! Even at this age, boys can get into serious trouble with the adults for going too far with the girls. The legal term is called Statutory Rape, and it is charged even if the boy has done nothing more than touch a girl in the wrong areas. This is a very serious charge that can cause all sorts of trouble. So, for best results, stay in the comfort zone, and stop when it goes beyond that.

If I found my 3rd grade daughter drinking out of the same cup as a boy I couldn't care less and wouldn't bat an eyelid. If I found her kissing a boy at such a young age I'd probably kick her butt! Way too young!
6th and 7th grade is still too young for anything too.
God they start young these days!!

6th and 7th, no. Just don't go over the line. I sure think 4th is young. That's ok for small puppy love, but drinking out the same cup and kissing maybe too much. If I found out my son or daughter did, I'd be very upset.

Yes, they are all too young. They should not be in those kinds of relationships until at least freshmen year of highschool. Do you know why? Kids who are in romantic relationships before they are mature enough tend to get pregnant early or just slack off in school. They are not ready for this kind of step in their lives, and it's not like they will marry the person they are dating in 4th grade anyways. Besides, it's just not safe.

No - 1 year doesn't matter. Even at your age. 2 or 3 gets iffy. But the current situation is probably fine. Though age doesn't always mean everything. If he acts a lot older and wants to things she doesn't, then yes, there is a problem.
