We had a civil war from 1861-65 that cost more lives than all Americas other wars combined. The upshot is that the USA is considered indivisible. We can't get rid of San Francisco no matter how eccentric it is.

Cities can ban programs from their schools if they wish to do so.

Maybe not expelled from the Union, but I do believe something needs to be done about the far left loons that are besmirching EVERYTHING America stands for....that ROTC thing is just the latest in a long list of slaps in the face...now with Pelosi in a leadership roll things are going to get REALLY ugly...

It's not ROTC its JROTC. ROTC is a college course. JROTC is taught in high schools. They don't teach killing and hand to hand combat. Very few actually ever touch a real weapon. It does teach disipline, physical fitness, (which many schools have also done away with?) team work, map reading, leadership, loyalty, repect, responsibility, honor, personal courage... you know.... all the terrible things of life that nobody will ever use anyway.

R.O.T.C. discriminates against gays. Isn't that a Federal violation?

Not a question of civil rights. It is a matter of "can we afford it." If it was cut out of the budget...then it was that or something else. ROTC was chosen...not every school has ROTC nationwide, just those that can afford it.
