2 ATP molecules. You dont want to use to many atp molecules to make energy or the process would be too inefficient.

Need 2 ATP to make 4 ATP.
Glycosis is the process of glucose (6 carbons molecule) breaking down to form 2 pyruvates (3 carbon molecule). The process actually first need 2 ATP to break the glucose down through at least 10 steps of glycolysis to form 2 pyruvates. During this 4 ATP will be released.
Use 2 ATP and make 4ATP.
