Cave-women were probably pregnant and breastfeeding most of the time. When you are constantly on the prowl for food and nursing your children until their milk teeth fall out, your children are naturally spaced because exclusive breastfeeding delays ovulation.

Who says they even used anything as a tampon? Its not like they were all that concerned with hygiene. But if they did probably some type of animal skin or leather or leaves of some type.

They didn't use tampons then silly. They used leaves or weeds or their old fur pelt clothes that they would tears into rags, fold and place between their legs. You have heard the expression " are you on the rag?" Thats where it comes from......... I bet you think beef comes out of the Super Market. LOL

They didn't use tampons, they used towels or rags that they washed and used again.
This is where the term 'she's on the rag' comes from.
