IF i tapped into my cable line and i have cable in my room, is there a way that i can some how tap into time warner, road runner ervice and get free internet service in my room aswell. What if i buy a cable modem, would i just connect it? would that work.

Get a wireless card and see if someone near has a wireless rounter hooked up and unsecured.

you can't tap into the Internet cable line because you need an IP address that only time warner can give you to log onto their network. but you could try getting a wireless router. your bound to find someone in your vicinity who is using wireless too. only problem is if you make their connection to slow they might get smart and check their network for other users and block you so it may not be a long term option.
