usually its just the anti-semite racist fools who deny that the most horrific genocide ever to happen on the planet occured.
Were the over 6 million murders just a rumor to make the Nazis look bad? I've known 2 survivors, I still cringe at the thought of their stories of what went on in the concentration camps.

"The Holocaust" to some people is about an event that happened to a particular group of people at a few locations over 50 years ago. Some people dispute the numbers of victims involved. These people are often called Holocaust deniers, though they agree that this happened, but not to that extent.
Some people also claim that the "Holocaust" is an event that happens when people are killed unjustly such as victims of collateral damage in wars or killed by "choice" as a couple examples.
But if it really matters if people deny a holocaust, maybe we can take a closer look at what we as a society are doing here, now, and tomorrow. If all people are equal, then why focus on only one group of people?
So - Why do some people deny that the Holocaust ever occurred?
Because anyone who questions the context of which the term Holocaust is used, is accused of denying it
