I'm lookin for foreign hip hop artists/songs that are popular. I just downloaded Timbuktu(Sweden) and I was impressed, even though I don't know what he's saying.

There was a story on NPR about a black rapper from rural France. He's HUGE and he did his own video in a field with some cows. I don't know his name but you can search on NPR and find it... and evidently he's being talked about a lot!

I guess he raps about living in rural France and not having anyone to hang with and rural issues.

Hope it helps.

Have you checked out Bhangra (musical style)? It's a kind of Indian rap (at least the musical part) that's a bit like some of what is creeping into the US lately (there's a rap that's used on a Chrysler commercial but I can't remmber the name, and it's influenced by that sound). There's also a Hummer commercial that uses music along these lines.

Some artists are DJ Cheb I Sabbah, Talvind Singh, Ustad Sultan Khan, Transglobal Underground, etc.

I dunno if you'll like it, but check it out. In my opinion, it's more like Indian club music influenced by rap, but at least it's alive and breathing. DJ Cheb I Sabbah is closest to a mix of rap and club music and has a good bass line.

You might also like Natacha Atlas if you enjoy funky stuff with a bit of an Arabic beat (another influence besides caribbean that is creeping into some rap).

Hope this helps. I like a bit of a mix of rap and trance so might not be the same for you.

those are only stereotypes. specific, there may be African individuals utilising hip hop to entice jap females. and specific, there may be jap females who fall for those men. yet those human beings characterize in effortless terms a small proportion of the completed inhabitants. Why no longer subject approximately African individuals "taking benefit" of white females in the U.S.? Frankly, it relatively is no longer a difficulty in any respect because of the fact they're doing it on their very own unfastened will.
