Please make sure it is an achievable goal. An unrealistic gola and chasing it is a waste of time and your effort. "Achieveable " means that for which you have the capability and resource and stamina to pursue.

Secondly, is this goal a short term goal? Say, you want to buy a home with a big garden? Or is this goal going to be a life long pursuit? ..... a long term goal. Then you should be able to put aside all the other activities.

If I were you and If I were as young as you, I would take only a short term goal. Then you can chase. The comparison is between running a 400 metre race and running a marathon. What are you good at?

DON"T WITHOUT A A BACKUP PLAN!...There is a saying "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong."
It depends greatly on how you plan to acheive your goal and the hand that life will deal you and hpow possible ur goal is given the situations in ur life . For example, you may want to be a dancer but somewhere along the line situations in your life don't allow it (say u get a really bad sprain) it means u'll have to quit cuz if u continue u'll damage ur leg.
What u can do is get a job in some other feild and my do danceing as a hobby or teach dancing.
You can't spend all ur time chasing your goal...what if you never reach it you will need a back up plan.
Chase it all you want but if you see where it's not working out use your backup plan...ALWAYS HAVE A BACKUP PLAN!

Look at your question. You didn't ask if you should spend 24/7 to achieve your goal, you asked if you should spend the time chasing your goal. If you are in the process of chasing, your goal is in the process of moving away from you. We often think we're doing something important because we're staying busy. If you aren't making progress you're really just wasting time.

Before you wear out both your body and mind, define success for yourself, establish specific goals, and write our a plan to achieve them. Once you know where you're going, you'll know when you've gotten there. Once you've experienced the exhilaration of reaching your established goals you can set new ones. Cut the chase and enjoy your success
